Six Easy Ways to Improve your Yard with Privacy Fence

Surrounding and enclosing an entire yard is one of the most common ways to use a privacy fence.

But it’s not the only way.

You can transform your yard using only one or two privacy fence panels. Projects don't have to be big to make a big impact.

Six easy ways to improve your outdoor space with privacy fence:

  1. Separate your dining area from the rest of the yard
Install a single panel between your patio and yard to create a cozy, dedicated dining area. Either a privacy or semi-privacy fence style will work well in this application.

  2. Add a visual barrier between close neighbors.
When you share a wall with a neighbor, backyard privacy can be hard to come by. A privacy panel offers a visual barrier between you and your neighbors so you can fire up your grill or sit back and relax in peace.

  3. Close the gap between your house and garage
By adding a privacy or semi-privacy panel between your house and garage, you create a secluded courtyard and give yourself a private and more secure backyard. Include a matching gate for secure, convenient access to your backyard.

  4. Hide your backyard from the driveway and street view
A single privacy or semi-privacy panel is more than sufficient for blocking your backyard from passersby. It offers some privacy while providing easy access between your backyard and driveway.

  5. Create a cozy dining nook
Privacy fencing can also be used to create ambience. Adding panels to two sides of a patio can provide a secluded, comforting environment.

  6. Establish a backdrop for outdoor games
  7. Install a few privacy panels or a full fence run across your yard to keep soccer balls, frisbees and other flying objects within your property.
